About the event
We've been monitoring the weather for this Saturday and it is trending in the wrong direction. With the current forecast we are looking at high winds and a wind chill under 10 degrees.
Therefore we are postponing the fest and do not have an alternative date at this time.
We are very disappointed, but know having an outdoor event in Wisconsin, especially in winter, can be a gamble. We think it is best for everyone's safety and comfort, as well as the success of the event that we look for another date to hold this event.
We still have the amazing Trapper Schoepp playing 2-5pm and we are still collecting food for Family Sharing. Donate at least 3 items to Family Sharing and get a free beer (limit 1 beverage per person and restrictions apply). We will also donate a $1 from every full pour and can sold throughout this Saturday to Family Sharing.
While all food donations are appreciated, the most needed items are:
Canned tuna/chicken
Canned mixed fruit
Pasta
Canned Stew
Toilet paper
Dish soap
------
Originally born in December of 2020 out of the desire to hold a fundraiser for Family Sharing during the COVID pandemic and resulting restrictions, this outdoor beer fest was conceived to replace an indoor chili contest fundraiser.
Again, we've brought together a collection of some of the most unique and rare beers from some of the best breweries in the state.
3 oz pours can be had of over 20 different high ABV and specialty beers for $3 per sample. All sampling is à la carte, allowing you to sample as little or as much as you’d like. The donation of 3 non-perishable food items will get you a complimentary sample (limited to one sample). All donated food and 100% of proceeds from the festival will go to support the mission of Family Sharing of Ozaukee County.
While all food donations are appreciated, the most needed items are:
Canned tuna/chicken
Canned mixed fruit
Pasta
Canned Stew
Toilet paper
Dish soap
Many of the beers at fest cannot be found outside the participating breweries’ taprooms or, at most, see very limited distribution.
There will also be a bottle shop component to the fest this year that will allow attendees to purchase some of their favorite featured brews.
14 breweries will be represented at the festival this year: Lakefront Brewery, G5 Brewing Company, MobCraft, Funk Factory, The Fermentorium, 3 Sheeps, Amorphic, Giant Jones, Lion’s Tail, Ope!, Supermoon, Radix, Indeed and Sahale Ale Works.
Volunteer opportunities are available to help pour at the festival. If interested, please email us at info@sahalebeer.com
Food will be provided by the Grafton High School Dance team. They will hold a brat fry in coordination with this event to raise money for their program.
There will also be live music from 2-5pm by Trapper Schoepp, who’ll play an acoustic set for all attendees.
